Washington DC US Capitol buildingThe Candia Community Woman's Club wishes to thank all students who submitted for the Washington DC Scholarship Essay Contest.  We received several well written and thoughtful essays.

We want to congratulate Allyson and Tess as this year's 2017 Washington DC Scholarship recipients.  A check for $200 each will be made payable to Henry Moore School and added to each winner's Washington DC trip fund.

View Allyson's winning essay Topic: President John Kennedy famously said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”.  What does this mean and how can you fulfill your civic duty?

In addition to the essay contest participants, we would like to thank Mr. James Pritchard from Henry Moore School for advertising and encouraging students to participate in the essay contest.
