Donation Information
Our group relies on the generous donations of individuals and companies. Your donations of yarn and supplies are always appreciated.
Here is a list of items that can be donated. If you have any questions, please Contact us for more information.
- Fleece or Fabric - Any size is acceptable. We make hats with the smaller sizes and blankets with the larger sizes.
- Yarn – Any yarn is always in need as we use the different weights to make items depending on the seasons. Variegated or different yarn is always fun to add color or edging to items. If donating wool or wool blend yarn, please keep it separate as we are not able to use wool on certain projects.
- Gift Cards - Gift cards to local fabric stores, such as Walmart, Joann Fabrics, Ben Franklin, and A.C. Moore, allow us to purchase fleece, fabric and yarn.
Currently, we are much in need of Worsted Weight Yarn (not sport or thin)! All colors are in need and we also enjoy working with variegated and soft skeins. Please make sure the yarn does not contain wool as we currently don't have projects that require that type of fiber. Donations can be dropped of in the collection bin at the Smyth Public Library or contact Lisa Cote to arrange pickup, at 587-0603.
