CCWC Famous Chili
Recipe provided by CCWC. "This is our special chili recipe from our annual Loaf & Ladle. We are happy to share it with you!!"
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound ground beef
- 1 ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green or red pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 16-oz can tomatoes (diced)
- 2 16-oz can dark red kidney beans, drained
- 2 8-oz cans tomato sauce
- 4-6 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp dried basil, crushed
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 beef bullion cubes
Directions
- In large saucepan cook ground beef, onion, pepper and garlic till meat is brown. Drain fat.
- Stir in undrained tomatoes, kidney beans (drained), tomato sauce, all spices and the beef
- bullion cubes.
- Bring to boil; reduce heat. Cover; simmer for 20 minutes.
